093: Growing Up
We don’t want to grow up, but it happens anyway, bit by bit. Sometimes it means getting a job. Other times, moving in with a girl you like, or proposing, or getting married. In little ways adulthood sneaks up on us, and one day we wake up to find that we’re 28 and the world looks different. We don’t look different, necessarily, but our perspective changes. It’s not better really, or worse, just different. And because of this difference, we spend the next ten years or so going, “Huh.” Finally we adjust, just in time to hit middle age. Ah life!
In terms of La Casa, growing up means we’ve graduated from shared hosting at DreamHost, and moved on to A Small Orange. It’s still shared hosting, but it’s got better performance (so far) than DreamHost, and fewer bells and whistles. Moving wasn’t without its kinks, but hopefully things are mostly smoothed out now, and we’ll have some smooth sailing for awhile. In the meantime, please do let us know if you find anything that is broken, and enjoy the comic.
Cheers, -Ahniwa
